Missouri voters approved Amendment 2 on November 6, 2018, one of three medical marijuana measures appearing on the state's ballot. Amendment 2 adds an article to the Missouri Constitution legalizing medical use of marijuana for qualifying patients and allowing people who qualify to grow their own plants. With the new law comes questions about how this development will affect workplaces across the state. This presentation will provide an overview of the industry and specific information about what businesses need to do to be prepared.
Christopher McHough has practiced as a litigation attorney for 20 years, much of that time concentrating on criminal defense and First Amendment law. He now spends much of his practice advising and representing clients in the marijuana and hemp industry on licensing and compliance matters. Chris is also an owner and the CEO of Vertical, a licensed medical marijuana cultivation and infused-product manufacturing company in St. Joseph, Missouri.
