"Take Advantage of your Advantages" Presented by Brenda VanLengen Sports Broadcaster -- ESPN, Fox Sports, etc.
Brenda VanLengen is a nationally recognized sports broadcaster for ESPN, Fox Sports, Big Ten Network, SEC Network and other television networks for the past 25 years. Her primary sport is women's basketball, but she has also broadcasted volleyball, soccer and softball.
VanLengen has been on NCAA Tournament women's basketball broadcasts on ESPN since 1996 and she has announced Big 12 Conference women's basketball on FOX Sports for 24 seasons. She has also operated the ART Super Telestrator for ESPN's coverage of the Women's Final Four® since 2005 and select WNBA Finals.
She has been a commentator for 12 NCAA Division II and NAIA national title games and in the summer of 2013, she announced 15 events at the World University Games in Russia for ESPNU.
VanLengen won the prestigious Mel Greenberg National Media Award in 2016 and an Emmy in 2009.
In addition to broadcasting, VanLengen was an executive for PE4life, a national non-profit organization, from 2001-2010, she was Executive Director of the 1998 NCAA Women's Final Four, an assistant coach at the University of Nebraska for five seasons and a high school business teacher and coach early in her career. She attended the University of Nebraska Kearney where she was a two-time Academic All American for the women's basketball program and has been honored as a Distinguished Alumni.
VanLengen resides in Olathe, Kansas.
