Legislative Affairs Task Force
Attend this meeting for an update from the Blue Springs Police Chief Bob Muenz. Chief Muenz will talk about the impact of COVID on the department and how business and community leaders can best work together to keep Blue Springs safe.
Note: This meeting has been moved from it's normal second Friday of the month due to the Chamber Golf Tournament that is scheduled for Friday, May 14.
The purpose of the Legislative Task Force is to:
- Study local, state and federal legislative issues of interest to business.
- Encourage information sharing about business and community issues among the membership.
- Stay alert to issues that will affect our members and the business community and make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding such issues. (a way to vet issues our members asked us to support) Review and develop the Chamber’s annual Legislative Priorities for recommendation to the Board of Directors.
- Provide direction and review the monthly Legislative Breakfasts, Meet the Candidates’ Forum, Business & Breakfast in 60 and other legislative events.
