DEI Task Force Book Club
This Book Club meeting will feature a discussion about Dear America: Notes of an Undocumented Citizen by Jose Antonio Vargas. This is the second book club meeting for this book and will cover Part 2, Chapter 16 forward.
"Dear America, Notes of an Undocumented Citizen" by Jose Antonio Vargas is a profoundly moving and eye-opening memoir that offers a firsthand account of the challenges and complexities faced by undocumented immigrants in the United States. Through Vargas's personal narrative, readers gain insight into the fear, uncertainty, and resilience experienced by millions living in the shadows of society. Vargas's writing is both poignant and courageous as he shares his journey of self-discovery, grappling with questions of identity, belonging, and the pursuit of the American Dream.
